Hello!

Hello. I’m Agnes Kluge – a pianist and singer in constant evolution. I move across disciplines, between an artistic mission in education and authentic expression.

I’ve been fortunate to dive deeply into both piano and voice. The result was a collection of diplomas – and a lifelong search for living art. Art, after all, is movement. It is never a finished product.

Sometimes music becomes a means to an end. And that, precisely, clashes with my own ideology: the belief in free, artistic choice. Sometimes that works well – and sometimes less so.

It’s hard to escape the spirit of competition. The media suggest that art can be measured. Yet only a few aspects – such as technique – can truly be compared. Art itself inspires. It remains free.

My personal engagement with music – whether as performer, composer, educator, or listener – I regard as a privilege. A privilege that gives me a special energy and sustains my life.

After my studies, I came to see it as my personal mission to pass on knowledge and open people’s access to music – whether through voice or instrument. In the artistic and pedagogical process, I regard inspiration as the key figure. Sometimes it flows from teacher to student, sometimes the other way around. It is precisely in this interplay that something new emerges.

For me, art is neither projection nor therapy – even though it can have a healing effect. Art is expression. Real. A balance between composer and work, between tradition and the present. This attitude has guided me across many dimensions of my work: classical and jazz, pop and poetry. Boundaries blur. Milestones appear. Thus, Heinrich Heine became a “popped” Heine in my work, and Ringelnatz took on a jazzy tone. I like the play of words.

Art, to me, is a field of experimentation – a space where authenticity and playfulness meet to create new forms or to cultivate old ones.
